Senator John McCain blows off Letterman

My dad told me about this earlier today, and I'm hella happy that somebody already threw this up on youtube.

Basically McCain called up Letterman right before his scheduled appearance and inform the late night talk show host that he was suspending his campaign and racing back to Washington to help out with the crisis that we're going through over here in the United States.

... Then Letterman finds out that McCain just basically stood him up to do an interview with Katie Couric.

First he's gonna stand up Obama, and now Letterman!??!?!!?!? Nice n' flaky. Yum.

Q-Tip - "Gettin' Up"

Q-Tip has been my favorite MC since I was 9 or 10 years old.

I remember being in 3rd grade at my friend Josh's house and the video for I Left my Wallet in El Segundo came on. It was the first time I'd ever seen it. I was hooked from there.

You can say I take a lotta cues from the the Abstract Poetic. You'd be correct, (although he's not the only one I gather mucho inspiration from).

The video is directed by Diane Martel - my favorite music video director of all time.

Enjoy! It's about time we all started Gettin' Up about now.

i-D Magazine

Always a big fan of their covers and editorials, i-D Magazaine has recently, within the past year, become one of my fave periodicals.

Their Agyness Deyn extravaganza and Kaws collabo made my mind melt, and gave me a lotta inspiration.

I'm a need a subscription soon. Anybody wanna comp me one?

This is my favorite shit. It has been since hearing it in what seems like eons ago. It still sounds as fresh as ever.

You can hear a snippet of Dollar or More on the J* Davey Myspace page.

If you're too lazy to click all the way to their Myspace, just watch the video below, and soak up everything that could be right in your life.

Raica Oliveira

Raica has always been one of my faves when it comes to modeling. She always brings a lot of strength and poise, (not to mention beauty!) to her work, and it gets me every time. In appreciation of the female form...

Esquire Magazine

Esquire has been celebrating it's 75th anniversary all year. Just though I'd post some of my favorite covers they've had through the years.

And when you're all done with the perusal, go ahead and fix yourself a drink.

VIDEO: Kenna "Say Goodbye to Love" Trackademicks Remix ft. Mike Baker the Bike Maker

If you dig it, get with it. Treat this video like some good gossip, and share it with EVERYONE you know. Word to the [Re]Mixtape 2.

A while ago, after Track and I made this remix, I was thinking about how much I wanted to do some kinda viral video for it. Being a cinematic fanatic, I always have visuals in my head for songs, especially my own and the rest of the HONOR ROLL's.

So I decided I wanted to take clips from hella movies, and cut them to the song. I went through flicks like Contempt, Hiroshima mon amour, The Dreamers, and a gang of others to see what scenes I wanted to pull to make the song come alive visually. Nothing really grabbed me.

Hence, Millenium Mambo. The first scene of this film is beautiful. Qi Shu walking from the viewer just fits. Perfect.

Shout out to Va$htie and her Conformist/Addiction video for some of that good ol' inspiration.

I'm on the brainstorm, and Trackademicks on the execution.
